Hi All This might sound like a stupid thing to ask , but is there really a lot of difference noticed between a 40 inch T.V screen & a 42 inch ? apart from 2" :) as i know that the 37 inch T.V is slowly being phased out . Any views please

Looking at this site there doesn't look to be anything in it really.

Plus by the time newer models have smaller bezels the overall size of the TV is potentially the same.

thanks for that good site :) so really its all about the make of T.V and type more than the size between 42 & 40 inches ? i,m swaying towards the Panasonic TX-P42ST50 Plasma over the Sony KDL40HX723 LED ,the only sticking points are reflective screen and price :) One isn,t such an issue as i have blinds in my room ,so really its down to the money ha! Sony is £515.00 ( off my Uncle ) Panasonic is £849.00 :(

Is that 37" tellies in general?
I hope not, that's the largest size telly I can get in my TV space. Any wider than that & it wont fit!

well not sure if its every company but Sony have stopped the 37 inch and Panasonic don,t make any , i don,t think many people go much lower than 40 inch in the living room in a standard modern house , but smaller houses in villages etc will need the 37 inch as you mentioned :) but i think in time the big Boys like Sony ,Panny & Samsung will go from 32 inch to 40 inch or 42 inch with no middle ground , i think LG still sell the 37 inch but for how long i don,t know :(
