Yes I remember AMD's early benchmarks of the bulldozer beating a 2500k
Seeing as the 7870 is level with the 660TI in most peoples eyse I dont see how the 660 can beat the 7870. Lets wait for unbiased reviews and not nvidias PR material.

Yeah it's about even. Fair bit faster with lesser amounts of AA applied unsurprisingly with its memory. Fair amount below a 7950.

.No actually, stop jumping to conclusions and look at the tweaktown benchmark. I would have linked it but as seen as you're already being an arse about it and I know you'll just come up with some other reason it doesn't equal or beat it in performance I won't bother.

I agree. I would hazard a guess that the 660 will be faster than the 7850 at stock, which will look good to the uneducated masses that go on review scores only. But I would think the 7850 will dominate when both overclocked.
Highly unlikely as the 660 seems to overclock very well too.
In fact they did a overclocked review of the card too:
That was without any voltage control either as no program supports the card atm.

Heres the benchmarks from tweaktown the 660ti beats the 6950 in some games and loses in others.
After reading many reviews I would say on average its better than the 7870 and worse than the 7950.
At 1080p the 660ti is good especially when you overclock the memory by 500mhz.
Also here is review from anandtech and even on max setting 1080p the 660ti is beating all the amds at bf3.

Thats all true if you don't overclock. But as the 7850 can over clock by 40%+ on the core, once all over clocked it will be a different picture. We know a fully over clocked 7850 is close to 7950 performance, which is out of reach for a 660 I'm sure.

We had all this rubbish with tweak towns 660ti preview. Their results weren't representative of other reviews, and the general opinion of users. And stop the name calling please, save it for the playground.
