Hi, i have narrowed it down to these two, which should i choose?

GeIL EVO Leggera 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-17000C11 2133MHz Dual Channel Kit

TeamGroup Xtreem LV 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-17000C11 2133MHz Dual Channel Kit

Thanks :)

ocuk value ram isnt really budget ram per se, its just what they have overstocked at that point in time. i think i read somewhere on the forum last week that someone got geil ram when he bought the ocuk value ram.
tell us what you got when u get your package. im curious to see what ram you get lol

Oh god its the 1600mhz boys again!!!! Is he asking about 1600mhz stuff???

Get either of the 2133mhz kits if your on Z77 with Ivy. Just pick the one that looks better in your system.

As you don't give many specifics about your system its hard to fully advise but the two kits your looking at are both made by quality manufacturers.

so what ram did you actually receive?

Just got my parcels from OCUK today and i can tell you the RAM is branded as 'Avexir Standard Series' (i'm not familiar with this brand). It looks quite smart with black & silver heat spreaders and won't look out of place with the rest of the rig :). Comes with a lifetime warranty for peace of mind

Another vote for team group, used to run some of the xtreem ddr2 in my s775 rigs, the famous micron d9 chips that oc'd like a bat out of hell. Strange that team dissapeared from the uk market for so long.

Ive just bought 16GB of the team group 2133mhz and its is soooo much better quality than the geil 2400mhz it replaced.

It is even running the same 2333mhz with same volts and timings.

So you get better heatsinks (the geil stuff got rather toasy tbh) that dont even get warm and it overclocks great and is an awesome price.

No brainer.

Ive had 2 lots of the OcUK value RAM, i got a single 4Gb stick for my HTPC and that was a Gskill stick and i got 2 of the 8gb kits and they were adata
