If I miss, or am unable to make the pre-orders for the new iPhone I may queue up.

So, just wondering who has queued up before for the 4/4S release and at what time do they normally start to get out of hand? I only live a few minutes walk from one of them so getting up early won't be an issue, but to stand around for a few hours might be :P

Online ordering works better. Queuing up is just for attention seekers and news grabbers IMO, especially at flagship stores.

Stuff queuing... I'd rather get it delivered late than spend hours in a queue at an Apple store, where it is practically seen as a religious event >_>'

I queued up when the iphone first launched and it was about 15 mins.

The only other time involved queuing outside the 02 shop the day before the 3G came out as I was going on holiday the following day and there was no option to preorder.

It's not a pleasant experience tbh.

I queued for the iphone 4. Waited for over 1 hour at Touchwood, Solihull. They had loads in stock and served Starbucks coffee and muffins whilst we waited. It wasn't the finest use of time in the World, so no chance of doing it again!
