Ivy Bridge to get 4K display support

its pretty annoying about the 2 DP requirements. it could mean that a new batch of motherboards could come out, dropping the desirability and resale value of current z77 boards. I feel like I just lost £25 on my z77 extreme6.
 
Really wouldnt worry too much tbh, anyone that can afford a 4k display now or in the next 18months probably wont be running onboard anyway
 
it'd buy a 4K tomorrow if it was £1000...

it would be nice to run my catleap monitor off the igp. its a long way off 4K, (1440p) but the lack of >1080p support over DVI, or even lack of DL-DVI, has been a bloody nuisance on many occasions.
