Poll please?

Simply question really, which wrist do you wear your watch on and why?

It seems I am in a very small minority as I wear mine on my right wrist, something commented on by a jeweller recently. For me it was easier to wear a watch on my right wrist facing inward when I was a Soldier...

I used to wear my watch on my right wrist when I was young but gave in to peer pressure and transferred to my left. I don't see why you can't wear it on whatever wrist you find most comfortable though (bar the inability to change time when it's on your right wrist without having to perform magnificent feats of contortionism). I can't wear it on my right wrist now though as it just feels weird.

How come?

I wear mine on the left. I know some lefties who wear watches on the right which makes sense. But then some right handed friends of mine wear theirs on the right also, which I don't get. But then again it doesn't really make any difference does it.

Left.
As you should.

Having it on the left wrist means it doesn't get in the way as much (presuming you are right handed)

Poll added although I've managed to put "to" instead of "do". :o

I wear my watch on my left wrist, I used to wear it on my right wrist until I was about 10 then switched. Now it feels odd if I switch back - I suspect it would matter more if I did a manual job but I'm just used to it now.

As a sniper it was easier to glance at the watch when it was on my right wrist with the face toward me, so on the inside of my wrist. It meant that I did not have to move my hand position and risk losing a target opportunity. I am effectively ambidextrous, but it now feels strange to wear a watch on my left wrist, although I rarely wear one inward anymore.

In reference to your above post I'm predominately right handed - unless I'm using a knife and fork in which case I'm left handed. It's an issue that continually amuses my OH every time we go out for a meal and I switch the cutlery around immediately after being seated. :p

I do this as well.....with the same amusement factor from the other half.

I used to wear mine on my right, simply because it felt comfortable and hadn't been told otherwise...

Now though I wear it on the left, and it feels as comfortable as ever. Makes no difference in terms of practicality for me.

Having said that... people who wear it on their right are gay. :p
