so rinse the radiator and resevoir and barbs with distilled water and then use new tubing with that pre-mix you recommend?
and leave the gpu and cpu block alone in tact

Back in the day Vinegar was recommended for flushing, to do with the amount of flux and junk the rads at the time shipped with. These days its much simpler, you'll get away with just running warm tap water through the system, then a final flush with distilled/DI water and then crack on with the pre-mix :)

You'll only need to flush out the components, so do them one at a time as you rebuild the loop.

ok thanks for all the help guys this is my first build and didnt think i needed to clean any components or tubing before use as they were new when i bought them. Sorry if I'm a bit of noob at this but do I release the components out of the system making sure not to release any barbs, get some towels and place the intact loop over the sink and then release one of the barbs and let it all flow out, then get rid of each bit of tubing(taking measurements) and then pour some distilled water in the radiator and reseevoir and shake it about a bit and then reinstall the whole thing with fresh tubing and pre-mix

Ae you sure you haven't upset someone recently?

On a more serious note, as above stick with a pre-mixed fluid or distilled water and a silver kill coil. Before using pre-mixed (for the colouring, no other reason) I just used distilled water and a silver kill coil, never had any problems and it's a very cheap way to do it.

he's using nickel blocks, ek recommend against using silver so wouldn't use a kill coil personally.

i did try silver coil initially but it got into the resevoir and then got stuck in the pump so I fetched the coil out and decided to use a couple of drops of bio instead
