1090t fried...what to get next?

I think I have fried my phenom 1090t.

My pic had the problem of switching on, fans working, no keyboard lights, and no ethernet lights indicating any activity and no bleeps from motherboard.

I first replaced my motherboard for Sabertooth 990fx and replaced my psu and still same problem.

So if it is my CPU what should I get for replacement? Use for mainly games and as a film server.

Cheap athlon while waiting to see if Piledriver is any good is my recommendation.

DSR the Sabertooth and get an Intel Mobo and CPU.
There isn't anything AMD side to get over your Phenom II tbh.

RMA CPU and keep using an X6 when it's returned? Took AMD about 3 weeks to sort me out.

Have you swapped your CPU to ensure it's at fault?

I haven't swooped CPU yet to see If thats the fault. I've replaced mobo and psu so can only think its the CPU.
The CPU is 2 years old, didnt realise you could RAM a 'fried' CPU.

As long as there is no visual damage to the chip and you dont tell them otherwise you can rma it no problem.
