We should be able to beat Galatasaray at home. Away could be more difficult though.

Man City must really fancy their chances against Real Madrid, as they're really struggling quite badly at the minute.

Arsenal should thump Montpellier and Chelsea/Juventus will be an interesting one.

Real Madrid V Man City is the pick of the bunch. Going to be an end to end game. Juve/Chelsea will also be an entertaining game.

Confident UTD will do the job in this group but we all said that last year and look what happened.

Juventus haven't lost in over 40 games so I think Chelsea will struggle on Wednesday.
We can't afford to lose at home to them and our last 2 performances have been shoddy at best so Juve will fancy their chances I reckon, especially if they've studied the way A.Madrid ripped us apart.

I don't think that will be the case, Real are only struggling in the league, they were the better side against Barca in the Super Cup. I think the players attention is definitely on winning the Champions League this season since they won the league last season. Madrid win for me.

Hope to see the following Wednesday;

------------De Gea------------
Rafael--Evans--Vidic--Evra
------------Carrick------------
-----Cleverley--Kagawa-----
Valencia---------------Nani
--------------RVP--------------

Subs: Lindegaard, Ferdinand, Buttner, Scholes, Giggs, Welbeck, Hernandez

Very much looking forward to Madrid v City the night before as well, neither are in great form so I'm expecting a draw

Real Madrid V Man City looks tasty, I wish it wasn't on during the Arsenal match. Hopefully Giroud starts and can get a goal against his old club.

I expect a strong line up like that as well since fergie admitted that his downfall last season was playing weaker sides in europe.

Would be what I'd like to see us move to, with eventually Powell dropping in to the centre with Kagawa and Cleverley dropping into Carrick's position.

People will ask why Hernandez on the left, but it's not exactly a defined spot, team interchanges so much we don't need an out and out left winger as such, and Hernandez was playing the roaming role quite well on Saturday as well as when he came on against Southampton.

Finding little need for Giggs these days.

Just out of interest - not playing Rio surely he is more fit than Evans (who was still getting pain in his ankle last time I heard).

The more important thing is the Evra /Buttner question - Play Evra in both games coming up, or play him on Wednesday and leave him out at Anfield? Personally think buttner deserves another game, although the crowd /atmosphere on Sunday could be a little too hostile for him, but not sure its going to be that much better for Evra (ie crowd backing Saurez in genera more than anything particularly racial)

Otherwise completely agree

.

would love to see Buttner in europe, but for the moment I would prefer someone (even Nani who isnt the best at defensive positioning when fb is overlapping) who has a better idea about "filling the hole" than a striker - however much I like Chicharito as a player

You mean backing Suarez and nothing racial, there might have been that one **** acting a monkey last game but you can guarantee Evra didn't see him and it wouldn't have affected him.

I was referring to the original Saurez row from last season, rather than anything the crowd did originally :)

I don't think Buttner would be too intimidated by the crowd, he's an absolute nutter. :p

LOL

He said himself he was a little taken aback by the friendly crowd at OT on Saturday, so just imagine what the Anfield crowd will be like in comparison lol

Think Buttner should play on Wednesday as a look at for Anfield. Evra has been utter **** for a long time. The young lad played well and got a goal on his debut. Should retain his place, hardly like he's going to be tired.

I really hope he manages to put one away at least. I fancy giving Podolski and Cazorla a break and maybe give them a few minutes at the end if need be, we've got some important matches coming up and it's only Montpellier. I'd probably be inclined to go:

--------------Mannone--------------
Jenkinson--Koscielny--Vermaelen--Gibbs
------------------------------------
----------------Arteta----------------
------------Diaby---Ramsey-----------
------------------------------------
Chamberlain------Giroud------Gervinho
