Hey guys,
I have an Intel i5 750 System with a Gigabyte P55 UD5 motherboard and I am looking to upgrade my ageing Nvidia 8800GT video card.
I mostly just play Counter Strike GO, and actually I was quite surprised just how well my old 8800GT handled it at 1900 x 1200
But I noticed a little slow down during really intense battles.
My first question is, since I'm not a hardcore hardware enthusiast could I get away with buying another old 8800Gt and running it in SLI to boost frame rates?
If you don't think that's a great idea, whats the best new card between £150 - £180? Whats the deal with Amd vs Nvidia these days, back in the day one was always considered superior to the other - is this still the case?
I like the idea of having another Nvidia card should I choose to upgrade, but im open to suggestions - thanks!
