Love 'em

It's all rather subjective though as quite a few people here have said they have one/a few and like the "good ones" but only if they are done properly but what really is properly? I wouldn't be surprised if really half the people here don't really like what the others have.

I also don't buy in to this whole tattoo's should be individual/mean something malarky. Some people just like the art it's self but that is all my own opinion which I guess is what makes it a good subject.

I have 3 they are personal to me and I still think it's up to the individual on what they have done. Some people like loads of them others not at all. Some people don't think before they have them done and regret them later while others don't care and laugh about how they got them when they were drunk or stoned while abroad in thailand etc etc etc.

Love em (certain ones) on other people
Not sure if they would suit me or if I would grow to dislike the tattoo I got (but still tempted to get one)

Hate 'em.

Can't understand why someone would want to:

A)- Permanently scar their own beautiful body
B)- Have something which most people change their minds about later on in life
C)- Have something which eventually fades and looks tat, permanently on their body.

Just my POV. ;)

The right tattoo, in the right place on the right person, great.

"I got a ma name in *insert random eastern language here*"....hmm....

Of course as mentioned above it's all subjective anyway.

I think they are awful, and I assume any woman with one is a total skank, since they are almost always on their back (usually at the base), so I assume they are there to entertain their gentlemen companions when they are being briskly taken from behind.

Hate them, especially the generic **** women have on them. Either on the back of their neck or the small of their back. It's like a barcode displaying their intelligence ;)

Love them, got my first 6 weeks ago this Friday and by Sat I'd have sat my 20th hour. Roughly going to be doing 7 hours every 2-3 weeks.

Wouldn't have one but if that's what people want to do then I dont really care, its not like its on me so...

For some people it's a cultural thing

For others, it's because they want to look rad.

For others still, it's because their life purpose is to go viral on facebook because they got a terrible, terrible tattoo.

I like them, I like the one I have, and I couldn't really give a stuff what other peoples' opinions are on it. I got it because I wanted it, and I was pleased with the results.

Love / Hate is too far imo and the 3rd option doesn't cover all other levels of opinion on them.

I like tattoos if they are well done and in the right place on people.

Saw a nice one of a pair of handle bars on the lower back of a woman the other day, made me chuckle :)

I like tattoos, but at the age I would have gone ahead and got one (in my 20s) there was nothing I could be sure I would still like or be into 20 years later.

A tattoo is permanent, but the things you can get a tattoo of often follow trends and likes that are far less permanent than the tattoo.

The only exception I can think of now that I am a father is a tattoo dedicated to my daughter. That would be a permanent enough concept, but from an aesthetic point of view I don't like tattoos of names and dates of birth, so that's a no go too.

Therefore, I like tattoos as an artform, I can appreciate them, but I don't want one on me.

I used to LOVE them and find them incredibly sexy.

But now my attitude is changing on them, and I think that most of the time they just look daft and too try-hard.

In spite of being heavily active in the metal and alternative scene I just couldn't justify to myself getting something permanently etched on my body. I wasn't born with it, it's not my right to change myself in that way.

Now I wouldn't say I liked nor disliked them; I'm indifferent.

The attention a decent visible tattoo gets while out is too damn high! When out drinking I'd say a fair chunk of my time is men/women coming up to me asking me about the tattoo etc. It's kind of cool though.

One of my friends for a dare got YOLO tatooed on the bottom of his foot with a smiley face on his big toe lol.

Wouldn't personally have one. I think they mostly look horrible and detract from the natural look. There are obviously exceptions that actually don't look bad at all.

I find the same with body piercings. Most of them look awful and make you look like a tramp/slapper/chav/thug/etc.
