Anyone agree?

So far i've sold a laptop and xbox 360 plus a few other nick nacks i didnt want - fair enough they all sold and i doubt i would have got much more for them

However £80 ebay charges pluz the 4% paypal take on anything you make

add to this the 21 day waiting period to get your money and it just seems like a waste of time, 21 days is an awful long time for a buyer to get a dispute in. I think perhaps paypal are holding the money and earning huge interest on it!?

And as i've found out you CAN wait 21 days for funds to be released no matter if you enter a tracking number or not, even if the buyer leaves you good feedback.

Lesson learned i'll never sell ought on Ebay again!

I sell on ebay from time to time. I always do cash on collection then give ebay the insertion/selling fees when they send the monthly statement to me.

Once you earn a bit of feedback you get the money instantly! However Ebay do have a habit of removing this if you dont get feedback from lazy ass buyers
You cant really moan as you agreed to it all before you sold anything ;)

I know i know read the terms etc etc

true about lazy buyers i've been waiting on feedback for 4 weeks now on an item i sold. This was the first item i sold on ebay it went for £490 and i got my money within 6 days - no feedback from buyer just a tracking number i supplied.

They state that items at risk - such as electronics and others are subject to this policy more so than anything else.

in future i'll make it cash on collection like above said.

Oh look someone moaning about details easily available before you posted an auction.

Your own fault. It's expensive but in some areas you still get more monie than anywhere else. You just need to do a bit of research.

As for holding your monie that's becuase you're new and once your rating gets up you have no wait.

i don't mind the ebay charges so much, even though 10% is a hit considering there are also auction listing fee's but paypal do take the pee but they've got things wrapped up.

I withdrew over 400 quid from my Paypal into my bank account in a matter of minutes. The 21 days must be for newer members I gather?

Yeah I didn't know the 21-day thing either. I was a new member in 2001 and it was bank transfers back then. Started using Paypal in 2002 and it was instant from the word go probably because I've already had feedback from my involvement in 2001.
