Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H - DVD drive port

I've just installed this mobo and I can't work out where a DVD drive would connect to. My last mobo uses a bus cable for a 40pin connector.

How do you connect DVD drives ? I need to install the mobo drivers and the Ethernet port doesn't seem to work without it.

Modern boards only have SATA connections.

You could get an adapter (that may not even work) or easiest to get a new drive - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CD-099-LG&groupid=701&catid=10&subcat=951

OK thanks, do you know if there's anyway to get drivers for the Ethernet port because I can't even connect to the internet currently.

Do it on another PC (what are you using now?) and transfer over via a burnt CD/DVD or USB thumb drive?

Yes thanks for your help. I'm using my phone right now, but I remembered there's another computer I could use. I'll pick up a DVD drive tomorrow. Thanks again
