Cover-Ups, Conspiracies and Assassinations

One thing i don't get about these cartels though is that they always seems to be buying guns and military equipment, spending many millions, don't they have enough by now, they must have a huge stock or unused weapons. Why do they need these extra 2000 guns.

Because there are tens if not hundreds of thousands of members. They almost function as the government in some places. I dont think you can overstate how huge these cartels are. 40,000+ people have been killed in their war in the last few years.

Remember the illegal drug trade is estimated to be about 7% of global GDP.

Regardless of whether a particular incident is shrouded in mystery or not, to maintain the balance of power is always paramount, by any means.

Do Governments sometimes perform unethical actions, including killing their own civilians and military personnel? Probably, yes.

Is the world run by New World Order lizards based in Area 51? No.

Well I suppose I can add the Litvinenko case here upon the news that a full inquest is going to take place.

It sounds to me like a murder sponsored by some kind of powerful organisation but I doubt they will ever be brought to justice. Namely because that organisation is most likely to be the FSB and because the prime suspect has already successfully avoided extradition to the UK.

I find it interesting and bizarre at the same time that someone can be so publicly murdered leaving the aftermath of a very big elephant in the room.

I thought for ages that Hillsborough was a cover up but then there's no way people could get away with that completely free.... Oh wait, ACAB.

Then there are people who will immediately dismiss any sense that order is becoming disorganised (corruption, conspiracy).

No offense there but most of these "conspiracies" require a whole hell of a lot more "order" than the chaos of the normal world.

I see what you did there. To my understanding, Wikileaks has a team that tries to sort through the trash. But how can they determine what's trash and what isn't?

Same as the governments and media do, if it fits their agenda it gets published if it's contrary to thier agenda it's scrapped as "trash".

David Aaronovitch's book, Voodoo Histories addresses this.

I think that there is such a thing as a conspiracy, but a 'conspiracy theory' is only that because it has no evidence to support it. It's something that's so obvious that everyone should realise it, but they don't... Why?!

If the US government can make people believe that they are capable of a cover up that big then that puts them in a powerful position. It's beneficial for them to humour the cover up stories.
