So it's my dads birthday in a couple of weeks and me and my mum are looking to buy him an iMac.

Between us we have £1000 which is enough to buy the 21.5" model, but i'd really like to get him the 27" model which costs £1400. We can't afford the other £400 before his birthday so I've been looking around hoping to find a decent 6-9 month 0% finance option for the extra £400.

PC World / Currys have a finance option but only over 24 months at 19.9%, this brings the total cost to a bit too much and don't want to be paying it over such a long period, really just want to be able to pay the remaining £400 in a couple months so a short 0% finance option is what we need.

Argos finance option is only at high interest rate on their specific credit card, direct from Apple is again just a longer loan period with interest, i've tried multiple other retailers with the same result.

I've found one place that I use for music equipment that offer a 0% finance option, it seemed perfect, but no stock! :(

Really hoping someone on here might know a good place to order one from with a finance option that would suit me, any help greatly appreciated!

I am assuming because OCUK do not sell Apple products that asking about other retailers for this and mentioning them in my post is not a problem, of course mods feel free to do what you need to if thats not the case and accept my apologies.

Get in interst free credit card , best thing for purchases at the moment - 13 months free with Halifax or Tesco I believe .

Other than that take the finance - you can always pay it back early .

Thanks Bald-Eagle but not looking to get another credit card, and if you pay early on the 24month finance options then you have to pay more which I am not willing to do, £1400 is already expensive for a birthday present.

Yeah Steedie they do, but unfortunately they don't have the 27" in stock! Only the 21.5" :(

Buy a refurb one from Apple, will cost less, looks like new, full warranty and will be much closer to your budget.

Apple business do 0% finance:

Own it
Example:

Minimum order value: £1,200.

Cash price £2,400. Total rentals payable on a one-year plan for the equipment under this promotion would be £2,400, spread over four quarterly rentals of £600 each.

Setup fee £50.

(Note: There is a £50 plus VAT fee to transfer title to the customer at the end of the contract.)

There is nothing saying how they confirm you are a business.

Don't Comet do Buy Now Pay in 9 Months which is 0% if you pay on or before the 9 months

Yup, even if they don't offer it, ask to speak to the sales manager as its usually an option on their credit screen. (use to work there for 6 years!)

Im sure we do a 10 month one

Simplest and cheapest would be interest free credit card, cut it up once you've bought the iMac.

But if you already have credit elsewhere, I would question whether borrowing yet more is worth it...

Either way, hope your Dad enjoys his present :)
