Fifa 13 or Pro Evo?

PES is much much better this year. They have improved things so much now, gameplay wise - sadly the presentation isn't as good as FIFA.

I've been playing a few games of PES today and I'm impressed, some great play happening, goalmouth skirmishes - the goalies are better too :)

I'll still be getting my Fifa next week though but PES is a good alternative option.
 
Neither!

Fifa is Fifa...and in the last 3-4 years Pro evo's have been "trying" to be Fifa for the popularity.

Last good football game was PES 2009

Last "Very" good football game was PES 6

All imo of course but arrrrgh I miss great passing play and actually tackling and winning the ball in midfield like good old pro evo used to be. Its been so long now! I just think both are dreadful now :(

Amazed no one has mentioned the fact that reviews for PES this year are very positive - most stated its not better than FIFA but a different and genuine alternative. You gotta try em both and decide which you prefer.

I thought the gameplay was very good, it just fustrates me when it constantly show replays of missed chances, slowed it down too much for my liking

You can play the passing game in fifa no problem with the right team/players. Its not always worth doing though as you can just 1-2, lob through ball for the lulz.

It's all down to personal preference obviously but FIFA 98 road to world cup was the best football game ever made IMO.

The one thing I do prefer with PES is that you can unlock classic teams by winning the world cup, used to love classic brazil/Argentina

quite like road to world cup, think 1997 was good because if i remember correctly they had indoor football too which was unique. What i think might turn me back to fifa is if they put fifa street as a game mode in it as i quite liked that,
 
If i remember rightly, all FIFA games up to 2000 had an indoor stadium but im not 100% on that.

Theyl never put fifa street as a game mode - the whole reason they stopped the world cup mode was so they could make a new game every other summer and charge £40 for it

I couldn't possibly disagree with you more on everything except that pes 2010 was indeed rubbish.
 
I have Pro Evo but just cant get into it. It feels jerky, and players are far too slow to react. Also corners and free kicks are a lottery
 
FIFA 13 any day. I've been reading up on them both and EA's soccer sim just has more depth, real teams, better graphics and a less arcadey style. PES has been lagging for a while and even though PES 13 is an improvement it is still a way behind.
 
I did download the demo and did like the speed of it, hopefully it keeps me playing for longer than a month this time, the way you can counter attack at speed and catch teams out is genius and it feels like the most life-like FIFA I have ever seen or played.

It may just be because it is the first one I have played on a PC though....?
