As per usual out of touch Dave does not have the balls to kick another ignorant and arrogant tory out of the cabinet for screwing up big time. Would you give him the boot?

A MILLIONAIRE Cabinet minister was threatened with arrest after an astonishing foul-mouthed rant at armed cops in Downing Street.
Chief Whip Andrew Mitchell — newly-promoted by PM David Cameron — raged: “You’re ******* plebs.”
Mr Cameron today condemned his chief whip over his behaviour.
The cycling Tory’s outburst came the day after two women PCs were shot dead.
Foul-mouthed Mr Mitchell yelled the four-letter abuse at cops because they wouldn’t let him pedal his bike out of Downing Street.
He exploded with fury when armed police guarding No10 refused to open the street’s famous gates.
The PC targeted by the tirade reported to his superiors that Mitchell told him: “Best you learn your ******* place. You don’t run this ******* government.
“You’re ******* plebs.”
An eyewitness said Mr Mitchell, 56, also branded them “morons”.

1) Why is 'millionaire' capitlised?

2) Why does his personal wealth matter at all?

3) What the hell has the tragic news from Manchester got to do with this story?

Is it not obvious lol. Millionair tory looking down on public servants by referring to them as "plebs" and to "learn your place" try reading the article before posting nonsense. It's blatantly obvious why his wealth is brought up and why this is in the news.

So are you saying it would be OK for a poor person to call a police officer a 'pleb' then? If not, then his wealth is irrelevant.

Does it mean "this is the bit you're supposed to get really angry about"?

Nope, it's probably simply a way to help readers find the opening sentence of an article in older newspapers that had poor printing quality. I don't know, I'm just guessing now, but I'm sure lots of 'news' outlets do it as part of their manual of style. Nothing conspiratorial here, sadly!

A massive fuss about nothing. So some police officer didn't let the bloke do what he wanted so the police got yelled at. Big deal.

If that's news, then send a reported to any council estate, you could fill a paper in 10 minutes flat

Personally I can't even believe this is a news story. It's simply a childish exchange between a politician and a Policeman. I don't understand why anyone cares (except maybe the Policeman involved) and calls for resignation/sacking are ridiculous.

I think the point is that MPs should be setting an example, which the aforementioned "honourable gentleman" is not. That said, calling for his sacking is a bit of an overreaction.

Oh yeah, I'm not condoning what he's done, the police should be shown as much respect by them as he apparently believes they owe him, no question. MP or not though, this is a slow news day kind of story IMO.

Frankly I'm surprised they didn't arrest him, IIRC it's illegal to swear in public?

hang on a minute. The copper reported the incident to his superiors and then a chief constable condemned the minister for his behaviour. No sign of any 'council estate' peasants anywhere. :P

lol @ tory apologists.

Fact is this guy recently got a promotion by big Dave and here he is in public giving abuse that would have a member of public cautioned. I can't see how anyone can condone this behaviour.

You actually condone top tory minister referring to the police and presumably the working class as 'plebs'
a derogatory term for someone thought of as inferior, common or ignorant.
and giving a whole lot more abuse as well all because it can't ride its bike through the downing street gate lol.

There is a reason it's front page news on every major site, think on.

However John Tully, Chairman of the Metropolitan Police Federation has backed The Sun’s account after speaking to the abused officer.
Mr Tully reportedly said: “I know what the officer has told me and I know who I believe."

Yeah, what happened the last time the Sun took the police's account of events at face value? Boy they have very short memories.
