Just ordered

Personally, i'd have gone with the 2GB FTW or any other 2GB model with a better cooler or pcb, would you use the 4gb vram? The reviews don't look so good for the noise opinions, everyone has a different opinion on what 'loud' is though, I have a 8800GT right now, which is RIDICULOUS. and I just got a GTX 480, which feels so quiet now and they are renowned for being one of the loudest cards.

Either way i've rma'd that and took the plunge on 670FTW. Can't wait. :D

Still though, you seem to be quite skeptical as to how loud it will be when you could buy a 2gb 670 with a better cooler for cheaper.

By the time 2gb isn't enough for 1080p you'd probably need a new card anyway, as long as you're happy with it though.

Not sure why you'd rather have a noisy (and more expensive) 4Gb model, over a nice non reference (and hence better overclocking ability) 2Gb card for less money, when 4Gb is going to make zero difference in performance with less than 2+ cards.

Id rather have 4gb than 2. the card will last me longer. If its too noisy ill change the cooler. Always been a fan of evga, im sure it will perform well.

The GPU will be a bottleneck before the Vram limit is exceeded on a 2Gb card, hence having 2 or 4 Gb on a single 670 won't make any difference in terms of longevity. You would need to SLI to have any chance of breaching the 2Gb frame buffer. This is me with a 3Gb card saying this as well..

correct,

you don't benefit the 4Gb until Tri Sli

The extra VRAM won't make any difference to how long it lasts as was explained to you on the other thread you made.

Though it is your money of course and as above - as long as you're happy with it.
