H100 all in one water cooler or hi end air?

I wen't from a H100 to a Noctua D14 and the D14 is a much better cooler if you can fit it in. I had three H100's all fail the last leaking water into my case.
The D14 matches the H100 for temps and is considerably quieter and comes with better fans.

Check my sig. The H100 is loud and expensive. For it to match top end air coolers in performance, it needs very high RPM fans.

I'm looking for 2 reviews I found showing all the top coolers tested, the H100 was at the top of the list and the d14 was 4th, it was the top air cooler IIRC. My 2500k never went over 72 degrees at 4.8Ghz and 1.375 volts in Prime for 1-2 hours.

How many degrees difference was there between 1st and 4th? :D

If you run prime on a H100 with the stock fans it sounds like a jet engine. The D14 just hums quietly, The Noctua fans used on the D14 are easily the best fans I have used.

Ditto for me too with DH14.

Never more than 72 degrees even in hot weather. I currently topping out at 69.
