Hello

Ive managed to save up £1200 and i was going to build a pc for recording but dont really do it now so not needed.

I only really use pc for watching 1080p videos, streams smoothly, don't really play games on pc use xbox,ps3 but then again ive never had a good enough pc to play them.

I could proberly do that with an i3 obiously i can afford more i5,7 etc however I would like a SSD and would need keyboard and mouse.

How much do you think i should spend, because i can put the rest towards driving.

Thanks

if you got a big tv already you dont need to spend much
and yeh most of the cost is gfx card so decide if u wnt to game or not

Well for movies you don't really need a solid gfx cards like the ones suggested. Ideally I would be looking to spend around £500-600 anything more is just ridiculous, then you can also spend the rest towards your driving ;)

This if you want to game on it, good value for money and not spending all your money.

If you really aren't going to game on it and want a fast PC, then perhaps something like this:

Went with a Z77 board to keep your options open should you want to get an overclockable CPU in the future for instance.

Whether is streams smoothly will be entirely dependant on your internet connection.

No you don`t need a dedicated Gpu for watching movies, but as the OP said

i specced him the option, without spending all his money.
