Apple did a similar thing against Microsoft a few years back.

They are kind of funny. I prefer them to some of Apple's adverts at the moment which just come off as condescending.

I still think you should advertise based on your own products merits rather than the deficiency of competitors though, but what do I know.

camping outside a shop for days is cult enough for me, large groups do this in america all the time for every apple product, when you could just preorder the thing and have it delivered in a van!
