Hmmm, I think you two need to get out of your little world ... this is clearly aimed to societies and countries where women are considered second class citizens by default, not even considered citizens if they are not next to a man.

Even in some European countries women were considered legally and inferior to men until a few decades ago. Do you know how women were treated in this country just 40-50 years ago?
