*** The Official Sony Xperia T Thread ***

Don't base too much on battery tests/benchmarks from expert sites especially when it comes to gsmarena's test :p

Wait until proper users post real world usage, as the one S does much worse than the one x and GS 3 according to their test, however, in real world usage it is much better than the X and just ahead of the GS 3.

Phones4U and CPW are taking orders for the phone on contract only at the moment. No sign as to when it'll be available sim free

Seems a bit sucky to me. Screen has poor viewing angles just like past Sony's. Camera not as excellent as it should be, average batterylife...back and sides looks a bit cheap too. Where's Sony's design team gone - they used to be the best at stylish electronics.

Huh, the design and look of this phone is it's strongest point, I think the design team done excellent...

Some of it is excellent I agree - the back and sides could easily look better and the material they used for the back looks low rent.

They can make better.

+1 When it comes to Android it seems that Sony are playing catch up in almost every department.

Soo sad but true. This phone is seems good, but doesn't seem great.

As usual Sony are a little late to the party. There's a few decent phones to be released in Q4 and it's a shame that the Xperia T will most likely be overlooked in the coming months.

Sony could've nailed it if they released the Xperia T with JB on board and other little improvements.

Is the back seriously glittery? That puts me off, I was hoping for a nice clean matte like colour... Not some funky glittery one :(.

Personally I love the look of lots of the Sony phones, I just wish they would nail a high end phone released at a similar time as the S4 or Iphone6 or HTC to compete with the latest top tier phones just once... :/

It looks great from the front, and the S4 chip is big + for it. The back however looks very, very cheap, and just very tacky. And the lack of a big battery is an instant no for me.

Simply not 'as' good as the GS3, One S, iP5 etc.

I like my XS but feel a little shafted by Sony, this phone is clearly a stop gap and I am baffled by no inclusion of a memory card slot. Samsung have just started rolling out JB for the GS3, what have Sony done? Well they said the 2011 phones weren't getting it and quickly back tracked, that's it!:p

EDIT - Simian I am talking about my XS not the XT :)

It does have a Memory card slot!?!?...

Memory
RAM 1 GB
Flash memory Up to 16 GB*
Expansion slot microSD™, up to 32 GB

Having been an exponent of the original Arc (Still going strong with ICS and a few extra mods!), I love the design of this phone!!..

I don't care about it not being able to keep up with an S3 or iP5... I just want a phone with a decent enough sized screen that I'll be looking at directly, not off to one side, Can surf the web when my computer is being hogged by the missus, takes reasonably decent photos... oh and makes Phone calls!!

I'm definitely interested!!
