Has Steam died for anyone else?

I can access the store homepage but at the bottom it says "No Connection".

I did the obvious thing and tried to look on the Steam forums for an announcement or other people with the same issue but it simply times out.

Best part about this is that they had the brilliant idea to tie BL2 games directly into the friend list. We were mid-game and then suddenly all kicked out, now I've got steam cloud conflicts and will probably get regression on my save.

If you are connected to the host surely that's that, but to depend entirely on Steam's unreliable friendlist is like playing the lottery.

Yeah, Dungeon Defenders had tons of similar problems. It seems that many game developers haven't heard of failover.

No, you'll get rollback on your save if you're an idiot and tell it to use the steamcloud save rather than your local copy.

And typical. I must've got home from work just as it broke ><

Dungeon Defenders had its own problems and they were all its own dev team having no clue what 'balance' meant :p

Well, that was a separate issue but I do agree :p

Looks like quite a few people are affected :(
