To Tesco's Bargain section....

I bought so much bacon for 3 quid it was unreal....Plus I'm finding I'm eating stuff I would never ordinarily buy like a full trout and stuff lol

I need to face this head on :p
 
I do my shopping after 7:30, by that time they start to slash the price of fresh meat, fish and cooked chicken.

I got over a kg of Silver top beef for £2 the other week, 4 fillets for £1 and 2 nights ago over 1.2kg of haddock fillet for £2.

I just freeze them and have them later.

I wouldn't go out of my way to buy trout though lol
 
I never find anything good in the bargain sections. It's always tins of sweetcorn and boxes of sun scream that have been dropped by clumsy teenagers.

Occasionally get some booze though. :D
 
Haha, enjoy your bacon while you can. News is that there is going to be a worldwide bacon shortage soon.

Are you confusing the bargain section with the reduced stuff?

A classic chav trick is to take a frozen side of meat out of a freezer and leave it on a goods shelf, then a worker comes along and finds it defrosted, marks it reduced and sticks it on the shelf.
Then the chav comes back and gets his/her tea for a quarter of the price.
 
I love bargain hunting in Tesco. This evening I bought a Pizza Express pizza for 80p, some sliced chicken for 40p, and 17 loaves of bread for between 11p and 17p (most of them were 11p). Second freezer is rammed!
 
I have a remit though....Its gotta be under 75% of the full retail price or I don't get my fix :p

Now Gem lettuce last night...10p....had for lunch in a wrap today in work....along with some 10p chicken breast and 10p humous :p

Now thats what I'm talking about :p
 
Do like finding reduced meat! Waitrose do some quality pies that some times get reduced to silly money...

Love a good reduced pie

Bread is ace...Bought 5 Granary batch for 10p each....perfect for toast in the morn straight from the freezer spread with butter...:p
