i5-2410M any good for gaming?

This is your second thread with a very similar topic. Rather than asking us if a given CPU is good enough It would be best if you framed your requirements and then we can advise you on what to get. We don't even know if this is for a laptop or if you intend to use a discreet graphics chip, or if indeed you know that such things exist.

paired with GTX 460M in a laptop.
like star craft 2 system requirements state minimum processor 2.6Ghz,
so was not sure if that would be ok or if there is more to it than speed alone.

Basically after a sub £800 gaming laptop , any ideas?
Thanks

for a sub £800 laptop at a minimum I would recommend a 15.6inch screen, an i3 2310m and a GT540m.

Ideally it's best to go for GPU first then the CPU. The 2410m itself is a good choice of CPU as it turbos up to 2.9GHz, which is just a shade slower than the desktop i3s which run SC2 decently. I'd recommend a GT640m or better if you can find a laptop with that coupled with an i5 2410m and at least 4GB of RAM. The i7 mobile quads are a bit overkill for games imo.
