Only game I've played that was made post 2000 to have DnD rules/mechanics, besides Morrowind but that is fairly watered down, played it quite awhile ago on my laptop (its well optimized cause my laptop is fail) but tried to again recently via Steam and it kept corrupting a patch, I verified, deleted, redownloaded and everything, yet everytime the highres.pak or something would corrupt when patching. Shame because It would be nice to a have an MMO to play.
The Steam version has all sorts of issues so download the client directly from the DDO site.

I currently have 4 toons on Cannith one of which is just a mule (will be replacing it at some point with something else just not sure what yet). I bought 3 months VIP access and so far really enjoying playing the game, made some new friends and play with them a fair amount

Might start a toon on Cannith at some point. It's unfortunate that if you're away for the game for any length of time, you completely forget how to play, and what you had planned for your toon. Probably no harm to start afresh

I have a 3TR on Thelanis ( lvl 15 druid, 1st life was rogue/ranger 2nd life was Artificer), taking 3 times as long to lvl up, taking a break at the moment will proberly start up when the events come around again as its nice xp and some decent items. Last person left in the Time lord clan we created other left about 7 months ago.
I have an uber wizard on Khyber, loads of epic gear, 52 Intelligence, super high DCs and stuff. But I've done everything in the game over and over again and got fed up of the repetition. Cant really enjoy any other class after playing the most ridiculously overpowered class

FvS are too much effort to get uber, they need loads of Sorcerer and Wizard past lives for Evocation DCs and Spell pen for Implosion. Wizards are good for mostly everything after just a couple of past lives, I also changed from a pale master to an Archmage for end game content and got some rather awesome 3 SP webs and have around 80% chance on using heal scrolls, but most players particularly sorcs and artis are terrible and keep on using fire crappy spells that burn them away QQ. I save endless rage by simply not allowing sorcerers or artis into my wizard's group ... But occasionally you still get a lame FVS with a junk Firestorm in their spell book, and druids now have some rather useless mass aos fire spell that removes my webs and does pitiful damage. Why even bother with other casters anymore unless its a bufferbot bard.
Unless its a multi TR Implosion FVS, I get like 80-100+ kills plus epic CC, while everone else struggles to get just 10 kills
.I hear all the time 'if a sorc can outkill a Wizard, they aren't worth the party slot. Most wizards aren't as good as sorcs'. Well my uber macro mouse using Wizard is! I played with loads of popular multi TR casters and show them all up.
Its also funny when doing epic house P stuff and getting silly fat dwarf barbarians constantly demanding haste for easy quests. I just ignore them and solo all the trash mobs and then haste them only when beating on the bosses.
Then occasionally a multi TR FVS comes along, casts implosion and outkills me from doing nothing but running around with one spell lol

Depends on what you mean. For most people I've played end game content with, I'm the only caster they would want to take again. I've joined lots of groups struggling with epic content because their casters weren't built right, and as soon as they've had me I'm on their friends list and keep getting whispers for 'CC Wizard needed for epic ...'.
Khyber in general is a very elitist server, you either play well and know what to do, or no one will want to play with you again.

The whole game is pretty elitist at this stage unfortunately, it's one of the reasons I'm not playing at the moment.
God help you if it's actually your first time levelling to 20, and don't know exactly what to expect at every stage of every dungeon, and your build isn't a recognised one.

The thing is though if its your first time playing, you should completely avoid TR elite / epic content groups and play through your on normal difficulty. The problem with this game is that each server doesn't have anywhere near enough people to ever find a group, but most stuff on normal difficulty you can duo with a hireling healer.
I do remember one time doing epic house P quests (easy least lemon squeezy for a capable wizard) ... And the LFM has 1 wizard and a sorcerer already and says 'Need CC wizard'. I think hmmm.... And click on join. We get into Small Problem and I'm running up to the CC point, and spot the other Wizard doing nothing but spamming maxed empowered meteor swarm on each wolf / hyena and his blue bar is depleted in no time trying to kill just a few mobs.
So I drop a disco ball + web ... And then the sorc joins in with moar Meteor Swarms ZOMG!!!!
Seriously, were they just trying to troll me or something? See stone elementals, I ask to let me pull them one at a time to irresistable dance them 1 by 1. The wizard just runs in and pulls 3 so I quickly web them all .... AND ZOMFG THERES ANOTHER SPAMMAGE OF DOUBLE METEOR SWARM!!!!! And no it was doing no damage ... USE CC + ENERGY DRAIN ON THE ELEMENTALS YOU DERPS!!!!
We somehow finished, at the end fight im running around like crazy dancing the hyenas, fingering the casters, keeping dancing halls up at the trash spawn points .... AND THE OTHER TWO FAILURE CASTERS KEEP SPAMMING MOAR METEOR SWARMS!!!!!
Then we go into party crashers, and the 250 hp sorcerer is getting one shotted by the bosses fire spells and complaining that they do way too much damage. So I ask 'wheres your fire shield?'. Reply - 'I have fireshield but its not exactly going to do any damage on epic is it?'. No it won't, but it will cut all fire and cold damage you take by 50%, as well as making you immune to web as the description clearly states!

Surely u mean druid as from what i can rememeber arty only have the flame turret as a decent flame spell otherwise they use blade barrier, druids get fire wall.
