Quick Ultimate team formation question; do any of you play three CAM's instead of two CAM's and a CF on the 4-2-3-1? How bad is it to play player's out of their preferred position?
No idea why they have suggested a CF plays behind the striker, that is clearly not how most teams playing 4-2-3-1 actually play. Weird.

Debateable really! The team I manage swap between three formations. 4-4-2, 4-3-3 (which is more 4-1-2-2-1) and 4-2-3-1.
With a 4-2-3-1 your left open on the flanks, so you're wingers have to tuck in. Your team should drop deep and form up two banks of 4, depending on the opposition and how they play, it can move into a 4-5-1 very easily.
If we are up against a creative midfielder who plays deep (think Scholes, Allen, Alonso, Song, etc) your CF would then push up towards that player. The issue you get when dropping the 4-2-3-1 into a 4-5-1 is that the top player is left isolated. Most teams when in defence will form back into a 4-4-1-1 just to provide the top man with some support.
We're in a football revolution at the moment, where your standard formations aren't traditional formations. Most teams don't play a traditional number 9 and the better teams (Madrid, Barca, United) are playing more 4-3-3 fluid formations. For a scholar of the game it's interesting watching it, especially when you're at the game. You don't really get the proper feel for it in front of a screen. I went to watch Barca v Grenada on Saturday, in the mid tier behind the goal (where Xavi scored). So I had a decent birds eye view down onto the field. One thing I noticed is how little Messi ran to create space an seemed to pull off the back of his defenders more often than not and that how technically advanced the Spanish teams are. The standard of keep ball football was impressive.

haha I did ask when the next TOTW was, not what it was!! Most of the weekend I'll be playing clubs for the vast majority. With the occasional dabble. I have like 2800 points or so to spend and might top up some more later on. With that amount of points it just makes more sense to spend them when it's happy hour, as you should see greater profits.
Playing a CAM as a CF will mean theyll be on 7 chem which this year supposedly does affect players (as a minimum it stops you achieving very high morale). How much youll notice depends on your play and how essential that CAM is.
CAM>CF cards arent expensive though, but it could lead to knock on effect that the player might not sell as easily in the future...

Have a Scott Brown on the market now if you want him, someone bidded 750 for him but if you make a offer will give you him, 41 mins left tho.

On the web app, how do you search for a particular type of position change card? Can't seem to find the option. Also can't filter managers by their formation, how annoying! =(.

She tends to sleep quite early, so I cna play a fair bit. It's not as though i sleep much any ways!
