Thief 2 and System Shock 2 Get New Unofficial Patches That Improve Their Visuals

Sadly dated graphics completely kill the immersion for me :( or I'd still be playing Deus Ex on a regular basis.

Those 3 are probably the finest games ever made bar none and if your not put off by the graphics very worth a play.

Rebirth kind of changes things a lot but SHTUP is all about maintaining the original style and look whilst eliminating blurriness. I'd consider giving it a try if I were you.

Can't get past blocky geometry, etc. (doesn't help I have some game design experience so notice things like repeatedly tiled textures, hard transitions between world geometry/texturing, etc. more than most people would).
 
Urgh, too many old classics to play at the moment. Just got started on Deus Ex again, and have Thief, SS2 and Black Mesa to play as well. The important thing is, when I do get through them all, I can guarantee that I will have more fun playing those than I have had with most games over the years. It's full of win.:D

Would a photo of the game disk + some hovis do?
 
Can I download a System Shock 2 demo anywhere that would work on Win7? I've heard a lot of hype about this game and i'm wondering if it's justified.

I've just downloaded the demo linked to in the 1st post.
It works fine on my Win7 :)

And yes, the hype is totally justified. The game rocks :D

Download the demo from the link in the OP, it comes with the improved visual patch worked on windows 7 for me
