Whats the Worst car you have ever owned?

Was just thinking the same for me. Also how do we define worst, the most unreliable, the least stylish, the nastiest to drive?

I've defined worst as simply the 'least good'. Which is a shame really as the Xantia wasn't bad at all, it simply wasn't as good as anything I've had since and therefore wins by default.

1: 51 Plate Nissan Micra
2: Free gift as first car from parents
3: Stupidly slow and no comforts at all, but it never broke.
4: 8 months
5: Mazda 3

1: R Plate (1997) Toyota Starlet
2: £700 (in 2007) from a family friend who was getting £700 from a dealer as a trade in against her new car.
3: Nothing. It had two tyres which had been on the car since it was new (70k miles ago) with about 1.1mm tread and eventually developed other faults... but it was fine. It's my worst car because I've only owned 2!
4: 3 years, 3 months. Sold it for £250 to a mechanic mate who managed to push it on (after fixing the leaky oil sump and overheating issue) for... wait for it... £700!
5: Seat Ibiza 1.9 TDI. Not the greatest car in the world, but it had 25 more horsepower, 20 more MPGzzz, Air Con, 8 speakers rather than the dismal 2 in the Starlet, and comfier seats.

1: Porsche 911 GT3
2: £60K
3: No rear seats, bumpy, noisy, crap stereo, no sat nav, not boot space, engine in wrong place, noisy diff, to fast, to much fun
4: 14 months
5: Audi S-Line RS4

Im getting old.

S-Line RS4? Are they not just RS4's? Or is that how they're actually named.
I'd have thought the fact that it's an RS kinda means that it's S-Line + moar.

1: 2003 Audi A8 4.2 Quattro
2: £30k
3: Everything went wrong with it
4: 11 months
5: 2005 Lexus GS430

Okay I've decided, it was close between this and my Mk3 Escort. I picked this because whilst the Escort was actually fun to drive and reasonably quick, this thing wasn't.

1: Vauxhall Nova 1.2 Spin
2: £80
3: Carb icing, no brakes, no suspension, holes in the floor, no power, eggs in the tyres, strut tops not actually attached to the inner wings, no instruments working, fake MOT, positive camber on one back wheel. Blue carpet out of an Antibes looked cool though.
4: 3 months before I sold it to some unsuspecting fool for £120
5: Rover 213S

About 25 years ago my first car and also my worst car was....

1: Ford Escort MK2
2: £400
3: Where do I begin..
4: 4 Months
5: Didn't drive for about 6 years after it but it was a Nissan Micra which was mainly my wife's car. I suppose the Citroen Xantia we bought after that was really my next car.

1: 1992 Nissan Sentra
2: Was a hand me down car when I was 16
3: Totally gutless, 92hp
4: 6 months then I replaced it with a 1993 Civic

Renault 5 gt turbo 1986 in 1999
About £800
Everything rattled. I can't remember all the breakdowns but it was in the garage every month I owned it until the head gasket went. I think it was about £250 to fix but someone offered me £400 as it was (they did know about the head gasket) so did that to make me £650 better off than if I had it fixed again.
About 7 months
A 1989 xr3i which was quite a bit slower and more boring but it felt like i was driving a tank compared to the creaky Renault.

Apart from all that it was quite a lot of fun. It was like driving a go cart with number plates!:D

1. 92' Golf 1.4CL MK3
2. Free
3. Nothing apart from being a povety spec golf with a hilarious almost dangerous underpowered engine.
4. 4 years
5. Peugeot 306 1.8 XS

Fiat (can't remember model)
£500 (early 1990s)
Something crucial fell off it while driving up to Doncaster. I left it on the roundabout where it died.
~6 months
Ford Granada (a proper wafter, I loved it but I soon wrote it off. I was a terrible driver in my teens)

1: Whats the worst car you have owned?
2: How much did you pay for it?
3: What was wrong with it?
4: How long did you have it/or how long have you had it?
5: What did you replace it with?.

1: MK3 Astra 1.6 Arctic
2: £2500 plus my 1993 E30 316 tourer
3: It was just nasty from tip to toe. Registered as 16V but someone hadn't noticed there was a cam missing. The misting up was so bad it was actually dangerous. It was awful.
4:Couple of years.
5: Seat Leon TDI - 5 years of female neglect and totally reliable.

1: Whats the worst car you have owned?
Mazda Rx8
2: How much did you pay for it?
Nearly 8k
3: What was wrong with it?
Everything! Knackered engine and appalling fuel economy.
4: How long did you have it/or how long have you had it?
One year
5: What did you replace it with?.
BMW Z4 Roadster

Bit harsh to say everything really. It was a great looking car and great fun to drive just appallingly flawed and the way Mazda swept the problems with the engine under the carpet just left a bad taste in my mouth.
