Wanting to play gears of war. Should I start with 1st game?

Having only recently got an xbox 360 I am playing through some recommended series

Looking at GoW series is it worth starting from 1 like with halo?

Definately worth playing all 3 and in order. Awesome series

Loved the dark gritty atmosphere of 1.

I got a 360 last year and this was the first thing I did, was a great week =) Definitely, playings Gears 1,2 and 3 right through is absolutely worth it.

It hasnt aged atall, all they did in the sequels were increase the vastness. Definitely worth playing all 3.
