The superdry jackets are v. Good. That said they're not the most lightweight...

They keep you dry, warm, and seem quite durable.
They're not that light though, which could be a criticism of them, and don't really compete with proper hiking, climbing gear, but for your day to day winter weather they're pretty solid.

I have no experience of "proper" outdoor stuff, but to me it seems really light?
No the hood isn't detachable i'm afraid

Seems very very warm so far, has THREE zips on the front for some reason, 2 I could understand. nice and light too.
Snap for me too, however mine is green on the inside, its very toasty indeed, I had one of the older jackets but it was just a lightweight one with no fleece lining, this one is miles better.

Superdry have weird sizing, my jackets have all been medium and fitted perfectly, but my tshirts are XL or XXL from them, depending on the tshirt. I have a hoody as well and its a large.
