The leather jacket is very nice. I ordered an almost identical one last year, it arrived and I didn't open the package for about a month. Only then did I realise it had a hood and a non-detachable one at that! It's been relegated to looking pretty in the wardrobe.

Haven't bought anything tangible today, but spent a fair bit of time on the phone to someone in a far away land who I'll be meeting quite soon. Probably cost me a fair bit but I wanted to speak to him to confirm a few things that were a bit vague via email.

Tomorrow I'll be buying groceries. Not interesting at all.

OK, some retro computer goodness just acquired:

Heathkit ET-3400.
Must have been kept in a box since 1979 - just perfect.
Note missing 4-bit RAM at top left. Have exact replacement on order.

BBC B US export Iss 01.
This is a HEAVY Beeb. Fully kitted out for the US market and featuring loads of metal screening, proper double-sided keyboard PCB and thick ground wiring throughout. Again almost mint.

Don't ask why - I dunno but I just like this stuff.

Bought Batman: AC GOTY Edition and 40K: Space Marine for £5 (Had a £5 off coupon lounging around in my e-mail somewhere.) Got them the other day, but downloading now, which kinda counts

US eBay trader. Of course got stung for import duty but still reasonable for such a great bit if kit. It's immaculate. It even smells really good
