What do you think of the 90s?

Didn't grow up in the 90's (was born in 74) but it was an important part of my youth. The music was great - the whole BritPop thing was awesome! It may not have been very original or technically brilliant, but there were so many good bands and albums coming out every week. When I think of the 90's I immediately think of this:

The music, the hair, the clothes.

Definitely a 90's child xD

My favourite era of music is actually probably 70s, but the awful, spice girls, venga boys teenage dirtbag will always have a soft spot in my heart...

The 90's were fun. I still probably listen to 90's music more than anything else, even now.

Which is either great or terribly sad depending on your point of view :|
 
Probably the last era before Internet/Mobile phones were common/Chart music wasn't that bad.

Pretty much the best era *takes off rose tinted glasses* :cool:
 
Loved the 90's. being born in 86, I could sort of appreciate the mid, late 90's :-) I remember getting a cd given to me called dance tip 95, it had gangstas paradise, boom boom boom, scatman, runaway, try me out, baby baby etc etc. also not forgetting the two best oasis cd's. cigarettes and alcohol is still one of my top tunes to this day :D

90's had thee best dance tunes going, not like todays modern smurfs on helium crap that passes for dance music these days.
 
Looking back I maybe don't appreciate the 90's as much as I should, I loved the 80's much more and thought the 90's were a bit meh.

Pretty good. Some decent music, some decent films. Fashion got noticeably better towards the end.

It was alright but did include a pretty crap bit of my life. Not really the 90's fault though so I'll let them off.

The music thing with any decade I've never understood.

There has been good music being produced since forever, it's just a case of whether the charts have anything useful in them, and they usually don't.

It's always out there though, always.
 
Ok yea, I meant the pop charts were better. Chart music was catchier and felt a lot more addictive than todays music is.
 
I thought 90s chart music was **** - so much twee nonsense like steps and bewitched that is thankfully extremely out of fashion.
