Pepe is probably one of the best defenders I have used in this game. Agression really does show its worth in 13. He just runs up and knocks players off the ball. Nocerino is also very good at doing this.

Ramos is beast but his marking is sometimes abit dodgy....

This. It's a good way to get you started, although they are only one-use which is kind of bizarre.

You can buy the same boost more than once even though it's got a tick by it in the catalogue :)

Also you get some decent coin prizes especially if you are winning titles in seasons.

My style is completely different. I use quick defenders and cover to the edge of the area and wait for them to run into me rather than my defenders running into the opposition.

One BPL CB chat, I'm rotating 3 of Vertonghen, Luiz, Figueroa and Djourou in 352. Vertonghen is absolutely brilliant for me, the others are just OK.

Tempted to try 4231 again, wasn't a mad fan of it in '12 but it seems very strong this year, may as well give it a go!

Does anyone have any suggestions for teams that utilise it well, say ~200k budget? Was thinking maybe Italian/Serie A team with Pato LCAM, Miccoli CF, Balotelli ST? etc..

i sold my brazil team and made this one, worked pretty well last night

I'd have Felipe Santana in ahead of both Dante and Boateng, he's got 81 pace which is great for a CB, especially considering the speed merchants you'll no doubt come up against.

I only didn't suggest him as he's going for a German team by the looks of things. I have Santana - Naldo - Boateng. All massive units.

Boateng a lot quicker than Dante, better stamina and jumping (a must for a CB) and stronger too.

I have only been playing 4-2-3-1 this season :D

Though currently I am on an all silver team of mostly English players (or ones from English clubs to make up the numbers). Working well enough with Wayne Bridge at LB but I am saving up my coins a bit for some bigger teams after going a few silver leagues and cups first so can't help with a decent gold team yet.

I thought that as well, but seeing Dante is Brazilian I didn't think it would matter swaping one Brazilian for another.
