Morning All,

I need to buy a 3rd party car alarm for my Peugeot 307.

Some ****s managed to break into the car this morning, and as there is nothing of value in there they tried to break into the house.

Has anybody got any recommendations for a decent 3rd party alarm?
 
I personally think that AutoWatch are one of the best - my dad has fitted hundreds over the years and has only ever had an issue with 1.
 
My recommendation would be not to skimp if you do buy one. Alarms can be an absolute nightmare waking you at 3am when they go bad. Get a properly certified technician to install it and warranty it etc. Or, gamble that you are unlikely to ever have the car broken into again and just get it repaired?
 
Why get a car alarm? when people hear a car alarm going off they don't think "someone's cars been broken into", they think "someone's car alarms going off"... Would have thought a real/fake CCTV would be a better option.
 
Just got a Laserline cat1 professionally fitted to mine. Was kinda needed, with it being an import hot hatch, and the fact I live in Burnley and work in Nelson :p

It's happened twice in 5-6 years. First time they stole an iPod which was my stupid fault for always leaving it in there. This time there is nothing in the car apart from £6-7 worth of change in the pull out ashtray.

If this morning my alarm went off at least I'd be awake and if I shouted or whatever, chances are high that they would just run off
