It seems any changes made to the game to make it look better is frowned upon by dice. No wonder they don't want to release modding tools for BF3. It will probably give them heart attack if they saw what modders did to 'their game' lol.
 
Yup that is one of the reasons they didn't give modding tools, these guys have turned this game around in the space of 3-5 days! More than what DICE have done in one year...... and also because if they did, their xxxx premium service/DLC maps wouldn't have sold as well then :rolleyes: As Gerard said before, when asked before release about modding tools etc. and they said something like "will see/no comment yet", they knew all along that they weren't going to give us this, if they had said an outright "no", well things would be a lot different.

DICE is all about the money now, nothing else, they don't care about what the community wants at all, the only feedback they want is on weapons, vehicles damage stuff as we are pretty much the testers for this stuff, anything else like the "colour direction" is completely up to them despite the entire BL forum and every other BF forum begging them to remove it.

it would have worked it would have been fun :D one the the reasons while theyll never beat cod as top fps they make pretty broken games always have always will .
 
Funny thing is in that BF 10th anniversary interview with 4 dice devs one of them says "id love to be able to give players back the ability to mod". Yeah right.
 
This thread has just turned into a mental hate fest. Nearly everyone who posts in it is moaning and whining like DICE and EA owe you something.

You never bought a game you did not like before? I have and you know what? I just stopped playing it and moved on to another game.

My Steam library is FULL of games I do not like but I have never heard so much petty whining before in my life. It is quite hilarious that it is the same people bleating on about it who are the same people who said they were not goung to play it anymore! WHY!?!?!

Such a simple solution to all of this.......just give us the option to enable/disable it......
 
I have recently been getting back into this - Only problem I have is flying. How is the best way to do this as I havent got a single point in any of them :(

If a game is crap and beyond redemption, yes who cares. But BF3 is annoying in the sense it has the potential, the ability to remove the color grading, showed how good it CAN look. But DICE refuse to listen.

Impassioned fans obviously are going to express their dismay about it in the vain hope it'll change something.

Personally I stopped playing BF3 long ago, and only wish BF4 truely bombs so EA stop and take notice of the real BF fans again.

I am not playing the game and won't be until DICE do something about this, as I said before I like the game apart from some stuff that ruins it, won't go into those reasons again :p I just do not like DICE/EA as a company and the way they work now. IMO they are worse than activision and infinity ward and nearly as bad as Apple, yes I did just say that :p

BTW they do owe us, well I wouldn't say "owe" but they definitely should at least consider what the community would like, since we have paid for the product £40+ and for some people nearly £100!!! Therefore we have every right to suggest changes especially when certain stuff can make the game so much more enjoyable and better all round for everyone.
 
The thing I like about crytek is that even though they are also dictated by ea to some extent, they encourage modding of their games or create games using their game engine.

I read Cevat Yerli stated somewhere himself that they like to be impressed by what modding community can produce.

Crytek appears way more friendly and open and there is no sense of 'stinginess' as is the case with dice.

Dice appears to have become very cold toward community :p

No accounting for taste, COD's been the same boring sprayathon\shovelware for years now. If it had remained pc exclusive it would have died a death long ago, fortunately for Activision consoles are where it found its niche with people that are out in knuckledragging droves just to buy the same old crap because it has "Call of Duty" in its name.

Speaking of which, Got your Black ops 2 pre-order in yet? :eek:
