Hi there

This guy goes against the usual rule of smooth is fast and takes the 991 C2S round the ring in a LFA beating time of 7:37.9 on road tyres!

His driving style is well crazy, he is chucking it around like a go-kart!

That time is crazy fast too, it's 430 Scud, LFA, Gallardo superleggera beating time in a C2S lol. :D

This begs the question, the new GT3 must be mind boggling quick and the 918 Spyder also now holds the Rings quickest production car time.

Seems Porsche are on a roll, new 991 GT3 and 991 Turbo will be silly quick!

You sure that's not you driving?

I'm still removing the stains from my jeans after the Civic test drive :o

EDIT - He appears to Snuff something at the start of the video?? All throughout you can hear him 'Sniff Sniff' lol

Haha!

Driving the Civic like that was easy as I am sure you are learning, try driving a 911 like that is well not easy, takes huge skill in comparison.

Forgive my ignorance if i'm incorrect but do Nordschliefe lap times really begin whilst heavily braking into a corner (his timer starts at about 53s into the video)?

I can't say i'm overly familiar with where B-T-G times are generally taken and where 'official' laps are generally taken but I wouldn't have expected either to start where he starts his clock :p

edit - picture to save the lazier amongst us having to skip through the video themselves:

Just seems a rather random spot to begin timing to me!

Video / sound is out of sync, which might be making his driving look more erratic than it is. Seems an official time from Porsche though, maybe they are cheating. :D

This isn't a Bridge to Gantry time Kenai

This is a full lap time (obviously a trackday or closed track)

"I think" he's timing the start and stop from the same small overhead gantry where the F1 track starts. It's hard to tell with not only the audio out of sync but the telemetry too!

On a public day the main straight isn't fully open like that so timings are done from bridge ( 00:20 ) to Gantry (07:52)

Yeah it's as if the telemetry or/and sound goes out of sync about a minute into the video as clearly gear changes don't match the rev counter.

Still he got big balls and a very quick time!

It's out of sync from the time he he turns away from the F1 circuit entry point.

Some proper bull**** timings going on there

I didn't say it wasn't a fast lap, it's just that if you are going to use a video as "proof" of an amazing time at least get the damn tracks in order :D

Bridge to Gantry time going by the video time (not the telemetry time) is in the region of 7:32  :D

Who cares about ring times still!

I want to know how fun the car is to drive and how awesome it sounds as they are all fast cars!
