Abate at RM has been really good for me. Sitting on 600k right now and don't know what to do with it. I kinda want to build a UTD squad but the prices for BPL players are way over priced right now.. considering just how cheap Serie A players are and most of those players are better.

Really hate 4-3-2-1 formation this year. I just lose the midfield battle with this formation. I find 3-4-1-2 is the best formation for me. I like 3-5-2 but the two cdm's sit too deep for me and I rather play with a CF than a CAM.

First time I saw the CPU play it back to the keeper he let it through his legs and it went in for an OG :)
 
I've got a little over 100k coins in the bank. Anyone got any good tips for using this to make a good trade profit, other than the obvious "buy cheap, sell high" theory. Never really traded for profit before, but I certainly wouldn't mind increasing my coins if I can.
 
Can someone offer some advice on the type of cards to buy on auction house with the intention of selling on for profit? I bought a load of Chelsea home kits the other day and managed to make some from that, but I've got about 4.5k coins now and want to get maybe 1-2 gold players to sell on. I don't really know what to look out for.

Aside from wanting to swap out the strikers and probably parker, I quite like this team, N'Zogbia & Johnson are doing very well, Tiote is an utter UTTER beast :D

Ended up making this Serie A/Italy team, too, not doing too bad actually, but struggled to get anyone open against a 5 back team.

Recently been playing Anita instead of Parker, find the guy always manages to run back rather quickly when on the back foot. Jones up front is proving to be a bargain too, tried Hernandez, didnt get on with him, Jones however... :)
 
Guys, is there a game mode where I can play a full season against CPU teams, but without bothering with transfers and reading emails and stuff like in career?
 
Create a tournament, pick league/cup of choice.

It does suck that you have to sit through all that rubbish in Career mode just to play a season of games. Even more so when you score multiple goals in every game you play, have an average rating of 9.7 and STILL get left out of starting squad and STILL put on transfer list because your manager doesn't think you are good enough :/

It takes long enough as it is to play the 38 games of a league, plus cups etc. let alone all this wibble in between games that is just so unnecessary. 10 seconds to simulate a single day with no games?!

To be honest it's difficult to answer this as a lot of it comes down to luck!

My best advice is as follows:

1) Don't impulse buy with 20 seconds left on the auction even if you think it's a good price - invariably you will end up paying more than you can get the same card for on buy it now if you do a search! It's rare that a decent player isn't bid on if it's a good price - even with the time differences all over the world, someone is usually watching!

2) Don't over pay for a player just because he has the right formation for you - more often than not you can buy in a different formation and then pick up a formation modifier card for a few hundred coins!

3) Early in the game I've found it's worth getting mid-tier players in with loads of contracts - that way you aren't spending coins on keeping your players playing quite so often!

In my opinion it's all about learning the approximate values of the more recognisable players and snapping them up if you see them pop up at a good price!

Oh, and in case anyone didn't know, there is a free gold pack that is easily earned in game just by completing the manager tasks! - I didn't know about this until today - if there are any more easy one's in the game, feel free to let me know! :)

I know a lot of this is very basic but if anyone is new to the game they may not know!

I'm busy building a cheap Italian team. No more than 500 gold a player. Bagged Iaquinta up front for 400, and he's banging them in for me!

I'm going to challenge the team of the week tonight to bag my free gold pack. I'll get hammered, but it'll (hopefully) be worth it.

Play on Amateur and you can't actually lose!

I take it as you mean free gold pack for manager activites, not 1 each week for playing the TOTW is there? :eek:
 
Can I back out of an offline season in UT? I see no way to do this.

I'm stuck with having to play a season with a team under 2.5 stars!
 
I don't think you can, do you not get a choice of all seasons when you go into offline season menus? Just assumed it would be like tournies where you can join another at any time and just lose progress in the one you are in.

Wonder when they will bring out the first "Special" Tournament this year!
