There are two concerns:
1. The conveyancer couldn't tell when the boiler was last serviced
2. The consumer electric is not particularly modern and we recommend that the electricity system is checked prior to legal commitment to purchase on the whole property
Were do I go from here? Do I get a qualified gas engineer and electrician to look at these two and raise a quote if they need repairing/replacing? Who pays for the gas engineer and electrician?
I was thinking I get the estate agents to ask the sellers about the boiler. Not sure what to do about the electric unit
