I finally have my driving test at 11:20, to say I am nervous would be an understatement. Anyone got any hints or tips? Don't think I have ever been so nervous in my whole life!

Just do what your instructor has taught you & you'll be fine, Good luck.

Relax. Relax and more Relax.

Just sit in the seat, Don't be cocky. Imagine you are taking your mum for a drive, nice smooth steady drive.

Enjoy it :)

Try not to be nervous, if your nervous you will make mistakes that you wont normally make.

Relax as others have said, be open and friendly with the examiner, smile, and enjoy it, even though you will be slightly nervous.

If you think you've failed don't give up, still give 100%. I had mine on Monday, I thought I had failed it a couple of times but kept at it and ended up passing :) Make a good first impression also, if you turn up and don't know the show me tell me questions that will likely **** him off and he'll be watching you like a hawk to give you all sorts of minors, also drive perfectly for the first 10mins or so as that will give him a bit of confidence in you and the mood will lighten up a bit and he might start chatting to you. Just total concentration for the 40 mins or so, just like your instructor taught you and you should pass no prob - just think of the idiots that have passed their test (it can't be that hard)

At first I was like "Yeah this guy is giving good advice, this will calm him and make his test easier :)"

Then I was like "Oh ok."

I don't get it ^ ?

His post starts off all "Don't worry even if you mess up, carry on as if you haven't and you might end up passing :)"

Then goes on to say "If you don't get the first questions right you'll look a right mug, make sure you drive flawlessly for the first 10 mins".

It was more the fact that the examiner might be more lenient or not be looking as hard for certain mistakes for the rest of the test if you make a good first impression. For example if you follow the MSM rountine perfectly for the first 10mins, he might stop checking for that as often, therefore you could perhaps get away with doing it wrong later on in the test.

I know exactly what you mean, I just find it funny how you went from giving advice that might calm him to giving advice that will likely induce panic in a matter of seconds :p

If you're really that nervous you could get on to your GP to perscribe you some beta-blockers.

Worth a go anyway.
