Turkey launches attack on Syrian targets

Or more relevant - Turkey is part of NATO....

but this is just a cross border incident - it has been responded to by Turkey, NATO not really required at this point in time...

some intervention (NATO or otherwise) would be nice though - regardless of this incident...
 
I love it when people think of Muslins as one big happy family instead of realising that they're a massive patchwork of differing types - they're not all cut from the same cloth!

The seeds of this conflict were sewed many years ago, and although it might be hard to pinpoint the exact cause I can see it spinning out of control quite quickly. The fact that the media weave a complex thread of lies to dress it all up doesn't help matters, although I suppose they need to find some way of keeping us hooked nowadays.
 
Its like protestants vs Catholics. There are lots of denominations and variation between Islamic beliefs, and they don't get on well with each other at all, while trying to demand respect from non Muslims when they are still incapable of peace among themselves.

Yeah it really makes me lose my rag. It's totally pointless us getting so involved in mopping up all this sort of mess - it's about time we threw the towel in with the whole world police thing.
 
The West could so easily tailor a plan that doesn't suit, and then it'd be curtains for those that can't measure up. A solid pattern needs to be cut-out and then stuck to.

you can thank the hindus and bollywood for the division in this modern day and age - it's a disease. ;)
 
Yea right, like that has any impact on the relationship between Saudi Arabia and Iran, or as in this case, Turkey and Syria.
 
Has anyone suggested the Americans deliberately made Syria fire at Turkey so Turkey could fire at Syria and then America could have a reason to attack and steal all the oil yet?

Edit: Ah yes, it seems they pretty much have already :D
 
Hmm, Belguim are a NATO country who haven't been pulling their weight recently. I think they should sort it out.
