Looking for ankle length trenchcoat

Yup, much better, but I'm not a fan of the Military style that was in a winter or two ago. We all have different tastes and styles though, but no one should do the full length ones :p

I have a shorter coat, but got it tailored in Shanghai (Cashmere) for £70. I'll get my coats and smart clothing from there for the next few years, it's great quality and cheap as chips (if you're heading over there anyway) :)

Tried military surplus stores? One of my mates in uni had a Russian officers wool trench coat, he said it was the comfiest coat he's ever had, and a godsend in winter. Not sure if it was a vintage WWII coat or not, but it still had all the Red Army insignias on and stuff.

Oh never mind.

that's his opinion :)
I like the army style, but prefer it without the badges and insignias and stuff though.

Best trench coat is Castiel's in Supernatural.

hello all

I have a 3/4 (short) trench coat and really it stands out enough as it is (especially scene as on Thursdays i end up walking with a hunting bow slung over my back) but everyone I see says I look like a murderer (more so on Thursdays) (ironic how i am listening to iron maiden 'killers' whilst typing this) I think come winter I will get myself a great coat but I think that under the right circumstances a 'full size' trench coat can look very good. A very good friend of mine has one and it looks amazing on him but he looks even more like a murderer than i do on Thursdays

im sure you both think it looks good.

Why a trench coat? There are plenty of other warm practical coats out there that dont look ridiculous.
It is because i don't follow trends in school (lot of chavs in school so you can see why i don't follow trends) and it helps with not having to confront the chavs as (especially on Thursdays) it is very intimidating (not just to chavs though even my friends think so) so it is not for looks

I meant the original poster but interesting answer..

but trenchcoats are a trend in their own right..or rather an anti trend, if that makes sense.

and i can assure you, it doesnt look intimidating. Unless you are a huge dude.
