Here's hoping it does. Slightly peeved that 61k worth of sold players/items has gone walkies and no money has been received :rolleyes:
 
Right so I have these lot in 4-4-2

Can any recommend where I can improve the side? I've just been promoted to Division 2, finding it a fairly solid team but looking for improvements but not sure where to start.

Have around 15k at the moment but that will be around 20k after a little trading. Don't want to spend more than 8-10k per player, any recommendations?
 
Main positions you want to improve are CB's and ST's.

M'bia is great, get Kaboul or Smalling next to him.
Get rid of Naismith and get Miralles. Bent for Kenwyne?
Taarabt center of the park too for some creativity?

There's a few things that really bug me about the defenders:
  • Not being able to select the man you want at corners
  • CBs splitting for no reason, allowing the opponent an easy through ball
  • CBs standing in the way of your GK, especially at corners and crosses
  • CBs seemingly unable to win headers against much shorter, weaker players
  • Defenders wiping each other out with attempted clearances allowing the opponent to score a tap in
All this stuff happens so regularly to me, it's incredibly annoying. It doesn't matter which defenders I buy I always suffer those problems at some point or another. After all the talk about how pace doesn't matter as much in FIFA 13, I have to say buying defenders with pace is an absolute necessity so they have at least half a chance to recover from the regular calamitous errors that they seem to come up with. Most of my CB pairings end up being more like a comedy duo than a defensive one. :p
 
Gonna build this squad tonight. Gonna cost a pretty penny... about 500k going by the futhead prices. Might try and stay up late tonight and see if I can catch a few bargains.

Change formation to 4-2-1-3. Rooney into CF and the two walls as CDM's. I wanted to buy Hugo but his price is just silly. I remember he went for around 30k during pre release. Maicon looks good but Micah was one of the best defenders for me in 12. Not going for Kompany or Luiz, hated those players in 12 and I hate them in real life. I never buy players I dislike in real life in Fifa.


I really hate 4-3-2-1 this year.. 4-3-3 is much better.

I have Rooney playing as CF off RVP as ST in my 4231 United team, beasts,both of them. With Rooneys passing this year, he picks out some real good balls when RVP makes the movement.

I know Podolski isn't in the Bundesliga any more, but as he's German (and in the right formation), I haven't taken a hit on Chemistry. They both have a wonderful combination of speed, dribbling, long shots, and finishing. Also, as one is left footed and the other right, it gives me a nice symmetry up front. I did have Mario Gomez up front with Reus, but didn't really get on with him, despite being statistically a better player.

Cheers I currently have Klose and Madzukic. Only have 10k coins after selling some EPL players. I'll post my team later and any input would be appreciated. 4-1-2-1-2 players are expensive!
