Spec me: nuclear themed films!

Them!

1954 film: The earliest atomic tests in New Mexico cause common ants to mutate into giant man-eating monsters that threaten civilization.

Good film and the effects aren't bad for the time.

I know that it's nothing like the others, and isn't even a movie, but 24: Day 2 is absolutely beastifying. ;)

Surviving Disaster - a BBC docu drama about Chernobyl more about nuclear accidents but the results are pretty similar

China Syndrome generated a good sense of fear of what might happen if a powerstation went into full melt down (i think)

Damnation Alley was a cool film, but pretty dated now....along with such films as Boy and his Dog, In the Aftermath, Salute of the Jugger, Steel Dawn and the myriad of other post-nuclear holocaust movies that were popular at the time.

OP, watch Miracle Mile if you can find it and Testament. Both are pretty good if a little dated.
