Water charges

Paying for water... Sod that! Plus, the water down South is pants compared to the lovely soft water I get :D

Sounds like the water board have just put you on their non-metered rates. Our last house had a meter outside like yours, however when we set up the account we requested non-metered.

3 bed detached. 2 adults one baby. £33 p/m. Average use is a bath and shower every day (the wifey doesnt like showers!), 5-6 loads of washing a week. Also have a pond which needs topping up every 2-3 months with a few hundred litres.

Gave Welsh Water a call, they say I've got no meter. Set up a direct debit though.

Talked to the landlord, he told me he supposed there was a meter but has never really checked :p

He has been excellent so far, so will forgive him this.

Just wondering what the cost to install a meter is? Anybody did it?

I'm thinking of getting my water from Oxfam if they can supply water to a whole village in Africa for £5 a Month it'll be peanuts for just me.

:p

Some good posts on here today must be coz it's Friday.
