I'm tempted to buy one of these kits when they come in stock as my first foray into watercooling after 10 years or so. After a quick sum of the individual parts it seems like a good price and a serial pump solution appeals to me (i am jinxed).

What are peoples opinions? especially regarding the res/pump combo?

Res/pump combo, 2 x D5's is overkill IMO. One will do the job just fine. That said I am considering two my self for cosmetic reasons.

The AX360 rads I can't really comment about, I haven't bothered to look at many reviews but its XSPC so it should be top notch. The XSPC RX360 is on of the best performing 360 radiators out at the moment :)

Cool. From my brief reading I was thinking of the dual pumps from a failure point of view rather than power wise. But I have no idea on the real risk of a single pump failure to be honest. I just know that with my luck it's probably something i need to account for

I haven't heard of many D5's becoming faulty tbh.

Connect the pump with QDC's and have a spare boxed away?

I'm sure your right in fact it seems people say bay res are generally noisier so probably best to go with a pump/top and maybe a tube res combo. Just means I have to spend more time deciding and can't rush in head first :) cheers

I think that bay res's are only noisier because of the tighter fit and they touch more of the case compared to one mounted on a cushion mount etc.

Mine is very quiet after moving it about and using some pieces of rubber tube as a cushion.
