I'm selling an item on Ebay and it was for collection only.

The potential buyer called me and said he could pay me by bank transfer today and would arrange a courier to collect the item.

I asked him if the bank account was in his name and he said yes, he seems like a nice genuine dude.

Should I trust this? If he pays by BT is there anyway he could reverse the pay
ment?

Cheers

I'd say you are more likely to be sided with via your bank if something goes wrong than with Paypal so you should be okay. Just make sure the courier is signed for or whatever so you can prove it arrived.

Whats the item youre sending? Is it easily breakable? Id avoid paypal but i thinm BT would be ok but if hes arranging the courier will you have proof of it being sent?

The bank cant reverse it. If it is a "stolen" account then the bank will be responsible for covering any fraudulent losses, or the account holder where they have been negligent.

I would rather take the BT than Paypal.

That's what i thought. The bank re-emburses the other person and your money is intact.
