9 pound for a fan would be my limit i dont see the point in paying 14 quid.
It was more to do with IC3`s quote. A dual pack would be cheaper, although still more than £9 per fan. So if he wanted 2 fans, instead of £14per fan, a dual pack would only be £20.

I have a dual pack of performance edition AF 120 in a box from my old build, they were very very quiet when under 1100RPM, the quiet edition should be really quiet, and with 7v adapter you would have to have super powers to say you can hear them.
Pay no attention to fan specs, they are as bogus as monitor contrast ratio claims.. *or rather take it with a pinch of salt...
Also remember cheap fan might mean cheap fan motor. The AF series fans have a deeper sounding fan motor imo which to my ears is more pleasing than cheaper whiney fans.
One thing I did notice is that my fans at the front of my old case made more noise than the back due to there being fan mesh infront of them. I just cut the fan mesh out and they were silent and moved more air.AF120 i got one in and love it - Didn't realise the AF140 existed - so I'm retuning my 120's and getting some 140s instead.
Haven't had my forum account for 3 months yet either. They are too noisy at 800RPM, has some serious motor noise that thing. Terrible. :/ Have to run mine at 500RPM and tbh it doesn't seem to be doing much for my Arc Midi. When do we get access to the members market?
Lol, I found it "Firstly, you will need to have over 1000 posts and have been signed up for at least 180 days." Shame since I been using overclockers since 2006.Haven't had my forum account for 3 months yet either.

Easy enough for me if I'm not working I am browsing these forums lol.
