Thanks, and annoyingly the DC5 completely escaped the camera, and the only pics I got of the 996 was an interior shot, spent a while looking at it as well!

It's with Ford having the offending pipe replaced. Not cheap cos its a big pipe and they can't replace separate sections of it but never mind. The battery has also decided to die so getting a new one of those also. Should be good as new tomorrow though.
 
Why did you take it in to Ford? Thought you were pretty handy with the spanners?

Is it a case of driveway + bad weather = less appealing?

I can do many jobs but I'm by no means an expert. Yes basically that plus the lack of time and the fact it looked like a bit of a daunting job.
 
Well one gert big coolant pipe (and a new battery, it picked its moment to die) later, I'm back on the road. Even though I was only without it for three days it's still a pleasure to get in and drive :)

One of my headlight washer covers has broken off though :( one new item and some paint on the way. Bad luck comes in threes!

Well weather and cars look nice, but without Gill, FF and yours truly, it must have been the least camp meet ever. Not impressed.
